STLP Advances to State

STLP team

The DeSales Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) team will compete at the STLP State Championship at Rupp Arena and the Lexington Center on April 22, 2016.

STLP Team members Logan Clark, Adam Isaac, Nathan Kirby, Stephen Mayer, Anthony Rayburn, and Chance Sparks attended the Regional Competition at the University of Louisville on November 10th.  Their presentations, “DHS Tech/Science Youth Camp” and “DHS Cyber Week,” earned high marks in their division and advanced both groups to the state competition.

“I'm very proud and honored to work with such a talented and enthusiastic group of young men,” said DeSales curriculum media specialist and STLP moderator, Jennifer Osbourne.  "Their potential is unlimited."

Additionally, sophomore Adam Isaac was selected as an STLP Engineer,  an award considered the pinnacle of the Student Technology Leadership Program.  STLP Engineers exhibit both impressive technical skills and tremendous leadership potential.  In addition to STLP state competitions, Adam will be eligible to participate at events with the Kentucky Society for Technology in Education (KySTE) and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).

The DeSales STLP Team will continue to work hard over the next few months to polish their projects, learn and integrate new technologies, and collaborate with students and teachers to improve the DeSales Ed Tech Program.
