High School Graduation Year

2016

What did you do right after graduation? College/career/travel/military?

I attended the University of Louisville (Class of 2020) and the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law (Class of 2023).

Please describe DeSales in three words.

Brotherhood. Excellence. Service.

Where are you and what are you doing now?

I currently work as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney here in Louisville where I am a prosecutor in our General Trial Unit. Prior to that, I served as an Assistant Jefferson County Attorney and was a prosecutor in their General Criminal Unit.

What do you like most about what you are doing?

It is a very rewarding job where I actively get to make an impact in the city.

What is your favorite memory about DeSales?

It's difficult to just pick one, so I think my favorite "memory" is entirety of the good times I had with the brothers I met along the way. I am still very close friends with all of the guys I graduated with, and we continue to have good times and make new memories.

Who influenced you most during your time at DeSales?

It's difficult to pick just one person, so I'd say Ms. Trigg, Mr. Gottbrath, Coach Mac, Mr. Sommer, and Mr. P influenced me personally the most. Not only did they help me advance as a student, but actively helped me mature as a person.

What classes and learning experiences did you have at DeSales that are beneficial to the work you do?

I am very grateful for all of the excellent English teachers I had during my time at DeSales. Learning how to write clearly and effectively has been especially beneficial in practicing law.

What is the most important thing you learned while you were at DeSales?

The most important lesson I learned during my time at DeSales was that the more you put into something, the more you get out of it.

What advice do you have for current (or potential) students at DeSales?

Work hard and have fun. In time, you'll look back on the four years you spent at DeSales as the best four years of your life. Make the most of it.

What is your favorite DeSales Event? Why?

I really liked immersion week. It was a fun way to learn something outside of the classroom.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to play golf, fish, listen to Bluegrass music, and spend time with my friends, colleagues, and family.

What is something people may not know about you?

I'm a solid banjo player.

Do you still stay in touch with any of your DeSales friends?

I do, and I am fortunate to have met such a great group of friends I not only stay in touch with, but talk with daily.

What’s next for you/where do you see yourself in five years?

I'm not sure. I don't have any plans to leave my current position and hope to continue serving the people of Louisville as a prosecutor. If anything, I'd like to eventually go back to school and get my PhD in Psychology or Criminal Justice.
