The House System at DeSales is comprised of nine "Houses" of approximately 35 students. The houses are named for sainted Carmelites throughout history: Abbati, Brandsma, Elijah, Kalinowski, Mazzinghi, Pereira, Rabata, Spagnoli, and Thomas.
Each House is comprised of freshmen through seniors, and students remain in the same House for all four years at DeSales. Throughout the year, Houses compete in a variety of contests that encourage unity and pride among our students. Each House has its own mascot, colors, and student-designed T-shirts. Representatives from each House work closely with the Student Government on projects and issues.
Through the House system, students build stronger ties with each other and experience a deeper sense of brotherhood.
